Terms and Conditions
Payments
Our prices can change, so it’s a good idea to check in before booking to snag the best rates. By sending in any payment for your invoice, you’re giving a big thumbs up to our Terms & Conditions. To lock in your event date and time, we’ll need a $200 deposit. If we are unable to provide our service upon you leaving a booking deposit, we will notify you and issue you a refund. Until we get that, your booking isn’t set in stone! The rest of the balance is due 14 days before your event. If the balance of the booking cost is not received at least 14 days before the event date, the booking will be cancelled and the client will forfeit the deposit. If you’re booking within a week of the big day, we’ll need the full payment within 48 hours. A little travel fee might pop up if your event is more than 50km from Tweed Heads, NSW. So if you are south of Byron Bay, north of Pimpama or west of Tyalgum, contact us for our travel fees. Also, if there’s a long wait for Setup or pack down (due to venue constraints, etc), an idle fee might kick in. Just a heads up, some special dates may come with an extra charge too!

GST
All prices include GST unless we say otherwise—easy peasy!
Cancellation
No worries if you need to cancel—just know that all deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel up until 30 days from the date of your event, we can hold your deposit for a future booking or help you reschedule. Any cancellation inside of 30 days of your event date, means you forfeit your deposit. Just so you know, Peony & Fig Events isn’t responsible for any unexpected delays at the venue.
Access, Space & Power Requirements
As a Peony & Fig client you are required to ensure a safe and appropriate environment is provided for Peony & Fig Events to operate its equipment.
The client must ensure:
- a minimum space of 2.5m x 2.5m
- access to power within 10m of the photobooth.
- if an outdoor event, an undercover area if any chance of poor weather.
PrivacyYour privacy is super important to us! We promise not to sell your info to anyone. We’ll do everything we can to keep your data safe.
Hiring and Delivery Service
We’re excited to offer free delivery, setup, and removal of all our gear! We aim to arrive an hour before your rental time to get everything ready. If you want us to set up even earlier, just give us a shout (an idle fee might apply for those early setups). A trained booth operator will be within close proximity of the equipment at all times to ensure smooth running for any damage caused to the equipment (photobooth and/or printer) within the duration of the hire.
Unforeseen circumstances
Life can throw some curveballs! We won’t be held responsible for not keeping our promises if something happens that’s out of our control. This includes things like labor disputes, service outages, communication failures, or fires. You get the idea—if it’s beyond our reach, we can’t be liable!
Use of Images
When you hire from Peony & Fig Events, you’re giving us the green light to use the fabulous images captured at your event on our website and for promotional purposes. If you’d prefer to keep your photos under wraps, just let us know before the event, and we’ll respect your wishes! We promise to steer clear of using any images that aren’t suitable or could harm anyone’s reputation.
Damage to Equipment
Our Peony & Fig Events operator is here to ensure everyone has a blast! If they notice any misuse of the equipment that could be dangerous or damaging, they have the right to pause the fun and reserve the right to deny service to any person.If circumstances arise where a threat or implied threat of harm, damage or violence to Peony & Fig’s staff or equipment, Peony & Fig Events reserves the right to cease providing services. If the client is able to resolve the threatening situation within 20 minutes, Peony & Fig Events will resume services. If the situation is unable to be resolved within 20 minutes, the Photobooth will not resume providing service and the client will receive no refund of booking cost. Any damage to Peony & Fig Events equipment during the client's event caused by the client, client's guests or any other person in attendance at the event whether invited or not, will result in the client paying the costs to repair/ replace the equipment within seven (7) days of the client receiving written notice from the owner.
Risk and Insurance
The rights of the client to use and take possession of the equipment are as bailee only. The ownership of the equipment remains with Peony & Fig Events. The client accepts full responsibility for the equipment for the duration of hire and whilst in their possession.The client is liable for any loss, damage to property, injuries of persons, howsoever arising whilst the equipment is in their possession or being used by the client.The client indemnifies Peony & Fig Events against the loss of or damage to the equipment, whether by fire, theft, accident, seizure, confiscation, malicious damage or otherwise and hold Peony & Fig Events harmless from all other losses, damages, claims, penalties, liabilities and expenses (including legal costs) howsoever arising incurred as a result of or in connection with the equipment or the possession or use of the equipment by the client.
Miscellaneous
Your online gallery will be live for 6 months, and we’ll send you the access details to download your digital photos during that time. Just a heads up: after 6 months, your album will vanish into the digital ether, so make sure to your download your images from your online gallery before then! Any changes to these Terms & Conditions need to be put in writing and agreed upon by Shutter Booth.
